Do “Natural Induction” Methods Start Labor?

A study showed that eating dates can encourage labor

As a Labor Doula, I've done my research over the years on natural ways to start labor. Pregnant folks typically get anxious after their due date passes and they start to get creative on ways to induce labor.

In this episode I go into detail about:

  • Raspberry Leaf Tea

  • Dates

  • Evening Primrose Oil

  • Nipple Stimulation

  • Pineapple

  • Sex

  • Birthing ball

  • Walking

  • Spicy Food

I also discuss why I don’t recommend castor oil. And in a future episode we’ll cover more about perineal massage!

I am a currently practicing doula- labor, postpartum & childbirth education. Hire me and my team- we’re at dcmetromaternity.com

And no matter where you are in the US, if you’re a Black woman giving birth in the hospital, I have a course for you!

Again, subscribe so you can get the next episode, and we’ll talk soon!
