Tips for Managing Baby Blues

Baby blues can impact black women

In America, it is incredibly common for new mothers to need a couple of weeks to adjust after giving birth. We call the mood swings, irritability, exhaustion and overwhelm "baby blues". This episode's goal is to give you some at home tips to soften the landing into motherhood, and help you make the transition more smoothly.

Listen as I share things that postpartum clients have done that worked for them.

In this episode I give advice on:

  • Your postpartum plan

  • How to begin to get a picture of what support you'll need

  • Tips for managing expectations with friends and family

  • The importance of rest, nourishment and connection

  • How to know if you're at risk for mood disorders
